Shelves: audiobook, fantasia, historiallinen, maaginen-realismi

Yay, I finally finished this! I'm not a fan of Murakami since magical realism is not really my jam. I still wanted to know what this was about, and it took me a month to finish this monster of a book. The concept is interesting and the execution intriguing. But I could not like any of the characters and could not get invested in their lives. The writing style is declarative and repetitive, but creates a subtle tension that kept me coming back for couple chapters at a time. ...more
