I read this in 2004 - before I wrote reviews and just recorded my score and a one sentence description in an exercise book, I have recorded THE KITE RUNNER as an ‘A’ read for me and my descriptor was: I was moved beyond description.

This book is beautifully written and to read firsthand what goes on over in Afghanistan is truly mind boggling. This book makes you so grateful for the life you have. I would recommend this book to anyone.
