What a great book. Sometimes the second book suffers from second book syndrome but not this one.
It was like coming home to old friends. Linus and Arthur are the sweetest and each of the kids I couldn't wait to see what they were getting up too. Lucy (the antichrist), Talia, Phee, Sal, Theo, Chauncy and now they added a Yeti named David and the added addition was a perfect fit. I love the way Arthur encourages the magical kids to be themselves but also sets strict rules such as no harming anyone ...more

This was good but not as good as the first one. The themes were a bit heavy handed in this book. It gets a bit preachy and repetitive. I do agree with the message but its delivery became a bit much.
I loved the children, Chauncey is such an entertaining character and Lucy's growth is amazing. All of them are something special. I also loved all the domestic moments with Linus and Arthur getting to be a couple and be parents to these kids. It's just a beautiful thing to see.
