I'm totally rereading this series all over again. I just remembered how much I love this book. It's been a long while since I've read about Rose's adventures, and now I'm looking forward to reading this series again. :)

REAL REVIEW

Hey, has anyone besides me noticed that Rose in the cover looks like Angelina Jolie??!! xD xD

Anyway, I love this book a lot. I read this in two sittings, and I could tell that I'm going to devour the rest of the series. This book and the next ones have everything I woul I'm totally rereading this series all over again. I just remembered how much I love this book. It's been a long while since I've read about Rose's adventures, and now I'm looking forward to reading this series again. :)

Anyway, I love this book a lot. I read this in two sittings, and I could tell that I'm going to devour the rest of the series. This book and the next ones have everything I would want in a YA Vampire series: kick-ass heroine, awesome characters, gorgous love interest, memorable characters, cool setting, and a badass, awesome plot. Looks like I just found my new favorite YA Vampire book series -squels- Even though this is kind of like a vampire version of Mean Girls and Gossip Girl (and I don't really care for those), Richelle Mead makes it awesome and cool, considering the way the book and its setting & plotline turns out to be. Anyway, I simply love this book. It's the first paranormal book I read where I truly love it and give a five stars to, so continue your awesomeness, Rose!!!!

I love Rose soo much. She's the best heroine I ever read of!! I love her attitude, beauty, arrogancy, loyalty, and badassness!! I love her constant devotion and fierce protectiveness to Lissa. They have the closest friendship I've ever read about in books. I believe that Rose would be an amazing guardian. Lissa must be very lucky. Rose is usually out there, defending Lissa from the perks of high school and bullies and enemies who want to torment her for her special powers. The cool thing about Richelle Mead is that she makes Rose and Lissa relatable: Girls like Rose like to have fun and party and make out with a strange guy in a dark corner, while Lissa is constantly struggling with bullies, and to deal with her pain, she cuts herself (though it is revealed to be a spirit side effect, so you can't blame her). Another cool thing about this book is that the setting is just like the real world. There are cliques, bullies, tormentors, bystanders, fights, and the usual things you'd expect in high school. When I first saw the book title, I'd expect something a bit different, like an academy that has serious students and serious classes and serious tests. It still has all of that, but I was pleasently surprised to learn that it's similar to our world, becuase I love to read about high school life and the typical pros and cons of it.

I love each and every one of the characters in VA, even Mia (but I only grew on her in the 2nd and 3rd book lol). My second most favorite character after Rose is Christian. He's cool, witty, hilarious, and perfect for Lissa. Third favorite character is Dimitri. He's sooo gorgous, beautiful, mature, and is, like, the ideal role model for Rose. I don't care about the age thing or gaurdian rule, becuase THEY JUST NEED TO BE TOGETHER!!!!!!! Love Lissa, but personally I think she's sort of a damsel in distress, is kind of weak, is the reason Rose and Dimitri can't be together, but otherwise I love her maturity and compassionate, optimistic personality. Anyway, I enjoy getting to know all of the characters and their attitudes, and I'm looking forward to watching them developing in the later-to-come books...

That's all I have time for now. Like I said again, this book was awesome, filled with everlasting friendships, forbidden romances, deadly foes, memorable characters, and an awesome, amazing, beautiful, witty heroine who really deserves the title. I can't wait to watch the movie which is to come out in 2012 (I could be wrong. It might come out in 2012 or 2013), and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the spin-off series will be just as good. Vampire Academy is a perfect hybrid of Harry Potter and House of night consisting of the best of both the series and compensating for what they lacked.
Where in Harry Potter, Hogwarts and its students were always there to support Harry, more or less, in Vampire Academy, the school never believed in Rose. She has to carry out the responsibilities on her own.
