This is a jarring fable about seeking identity, storytelling, and enjoying the ride. And what a ride it is, Ball writes a book that zooms inside itself, finding pathways from story to story. This fluid motion happens within a fleeting plot about a pamphlet-maker who is searching for a woman's identify, a woman he loves, a woman who's gotten amnesia after a car accident.
