Honestly, I felt that the first four chapters (the only ones completely intact) were quite good, definitely better than Look at the Harlequins and arguably the best thing Nabokov wrote since Ada, or Ardor. However, the narrative gets incredibly fragmented after that (and not purposely done by the author - he simply didn't finish writing parts of the novel) and becomes a mess of random scenes with no center.
