For me, this is the most challenging of the authors works I have read. In truth, I read it four or five times to absorbed it's ideas and really understand what was being said. As the ideas grew in my mind, I began to see examples of things he described. I was able to look at how life was when this was written and then observe the events that have happened since. He has proven to be correct in an uncanny way. He has shifted my understanding and view of democracy, something I had seen in the past

This is a challenging book. I just finished reading it a few days ago and I'm still thinking about the meaning of objective reality and the power struggle between competing worldviews that often takes place in the subtle context of textbooks, lectures and culture shrouded by the overlying subject. C.S. Lewis was concerned about the philosophy and worldview taught in schools, and the same concern exists for many today.
