What Members Thought
This story contains multitudes. The main premise, being first generation-Mexican American is captured so well and I really learned a lot from all of the complex identity Julia experiences and views. The themes of secrets that we keep because we think they will hurt others was another that hit close to home. I appreciated Julia’s young voice, it captures the naïveté and brilliance of teenagers.
