Well if it was not for all the ingenious cons and tricks, I would have given it one star less since I came so late to Gaiman's work with very high expectations. Perhaps a decade ago, I would have absolutely loved it. Nevertheless, the plot, the idea and the execution are all great. At times, the narrative drags a little and it becomes laborious to relate myth with the contemporary setting since the relation is not so obvious, perhaps not there at all. It was a great story, but somehow I'm under the impression that Mr. Gaiman had a deadline and if he hadn't had to meet it this would have been a lot better.
