I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A host of run-on sentences near the beginning had me rereading some, but that settles into much shorter ones with more of the run-on style here and there, not very much. It seemed to be a way of conversation and thought for the main character, who narrates. I would read more of McCarthy's books. Detail is amazing, insightful, and more than I can eloquently say.

I have to say this is one of the best books i have ever read....and i have been skeptical of mcarthy's work so far.....this one though has won me over as a fan.
Although it is strange to me that he has some rocky beginnings in his books where i am like...meh....but then after 30 or so pages i am totally hooked....weird but maybe that is the beauty of them.
