Shelves: fiction, angels
The higher the expectations, the harder the fall. I broke some bones on this fall. At times this book reads like stereo instructions, it is virtually devoid of passion. It is also, the most secular angel book I have ever read.

And, don't get me started with verbiage...WOW!...I wondered while reading this if death by verbiage was possible....I still don't know the answer, but I think I came close. Long-winded descriptions that are irrelevant and too many reiterations.

I was disappointed in this book. The potential was there, and at times I found myself completely drawn in to the story. Then the point of view would change, the passages would be filled with lengthy and seemingly unnecessary descriptions meant (which led to a LOT of skimming) to add depth but fell flat, and an overuse of the word diaphanous would pull me out of the story in frustration. I think the best part of the book was the middle section which was basically a flashback of Celestine's life, ...more

It took me quite a while to get into this book but it did get better. I will be buying the next when it's released as it did leave me wondering what will happen next! ...more

Great reading ...up to the final...very, very disappointing final. It's like the story is cut short right away and the ending is quite "blah-blah". That's a pity because the book had good potential with the initially set storyline. ...more

Ms. Trussoni spins a wondrous story forever changing the way we envision Angels!! Not really, but a truly original approach to the ancient stories of their existence. really enjoyed this.

FANTASTIC!!!! I do not know how one person can fathom such a GREAT Read!!!!! Intuitive!!! Love these stories that make me think and become aware of (imaginary or real) so much more!!!!
