In the 24 hours after I finished this book, I must have recommended it to at least five different people. It's one I had been meaning to get around to for years and finally picked it up. It is quite juvenile (which makes sense as it's a YA book), but still a fascinating examination of utopia/dystopia and how safe is not always better (or is it?). It was especially significant as I had just watched Terry Gilliam's Brazil; very similar themes explored in very different ways.
