What Members Thought

This is one of my all-time favorite Sci-Fi books, and in fact, all time favorite books of any genre.
While somewhat dated, it still presents an alternative to the evolution of society as we know it that is in the end both positive and optimistic.
For me, it gives hope that the "little guy" can ultimately triumph against the large, corporate/government structure with a little luck and lots of hard work, intelligence, and courage.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read with an optimi ...more

Excellent book! Heinlein is fantastic. Between this one, Starship Troopers, and Stranger in a Strange Land; a pretty serious discussion of philosophy, religion, and government are presented.
The only negative to this book is the narrator's style of speaking. It is done in a choppy, English as a second-language way that is a little distracting. But you get used to it and it sort of fades away as you get more immersed in the story.
