I remember giving up on this book,not being able to follow. I did return to it and this was quite some time ago but I am ashamed to admit it was the movie I adored more. I loved it. But for me personally I am never able to immerse myself into any novel that is like a shattered mirror. I get dizzy from the back and forth of all the characters, the spinning heart of stories within stories and I half believe it is madness and genius in a writer. A major time investment and frankly I couldn't imagine where this was going two sections into it but once I realized what was going on I was completely sold...a circuitous examination of humanity combining past with present with future. Amazing read.

did not hold my interest; but I bet it would if I knew why the author is writing short stories that end in suspense.
