So, so, so, good! The ending was incredible! And so unexpected!

This book almost got 5 stars, but it suffers a little from what I like to call Empire syndrome. In the Star Wars trilogy (the originals), Empire is a good movie, but b/c it is the middle flick, we don't get enough resolution to make it totally satisfying. So it is with Catching Fire. Excellent story...I didn't want to put it down once I started. (Unfortunately I had to, thanks to work, a migraine...you know the usual.)

This is a continuation of The Hunger Games. To my mind, these books should be read in order. Someone reading the second or third in the series would miss a lot in background material and characters if he/she hadn't read the first book. Again, I love the story. The language is simple, told from a first person point of view, so the voice seems right to me.

Cliffhanger, can't wait to read the last one!
