Since reading it, I have enjoyed the story of Jane Eyre. It's tragic, and romantic, and lovely to read. This gives me another perspective on that story; when looked at in light of this take on "Bertha", the story of Jane Eyre is terrible and Mr. Rochester is repugnant. I love that this new perspective gives more depth to that story and makes me think about the other work, rather than looking at it from my previously limited perspective.
