What Members Thought
I was a little worried that this book might be a bit blah after reading some reviews that niether Pratchett or Gaiman really shone, but luckily I really enjoyed it. I did think that Terry's style was a bit more evident- Death obviously was having a holiday from the Discworld!- in the general style and format of the story... but that could just be because I've read more of him and I'm more familiar with his style.

I just could not stay focused on this one. I am not one for this type of genre anyway and the continual "footnotes" and tangents that the author went on grew tiresome for me. I listened to it on CD so perhaps that made a difference because I was not able to visually skip over certain parts and move ahead.

Didn't grab me. Too rambling and repetitive with an unsatisfactory ending, but very clever in places, usually in the footnotes. Not my genre...but I'd recommend it for a fan of fantasy.
