I listened to this book on CD. I'd say it's probably equally good to listen to and to read. This is a delightful, absorbing, realistic, sad and happy tale of a girl in the years she is about 12-14 years old. Beekeeping is part of the story with some fascinating tidbits about bee behavior, and some even more fascinating reading about people behavior.

Many people will want to read this story. Lily finds her life with deeper meaning as she learns the truth about the tragedy, with her family, including the cause of the death of her mother. Lily for the debts of her mother's death itself blames herself. Life is a story often unpredictable, with cause and effect, the period of history was accepted a long time ago, and, of course, is seldom forgotten by most people today, as history, because society is not nearly balled like a piece of paper.
