[close] This book moved something in me. I found it raw in a cathartic way. The tragedy of the women in this book is not censored, it is not embellished for narrative purposes. The reader is not sheltered behind a fictional wall of bravery and is left helpless fearing the same fear of the women in these pages. A crude collection of societal judgement, shame and abuse. It left me breathless.
