I only read this because I adored This Tender Land so much. Ordinary Grace is not nearly as wonderful as TTL, sure it’s good, and the writing is downright captivating but the story itself wasn’t as exciting as his newest novel. I think if I didn’t have such high expectations for Ordinary Grace I would have rated it higher. It’s good, just not something I will be telling all my friends to read.... but I will say if you read this and thought it was good or just ok, go on and read This Tender Land ...more
