This is such a hard book for me to rate.
Hobb's prose, storytelling, character work and ability to wring every last drop of emotions out of the reader can't let me rate this anything less than superb. That said, did I love reading this book? Sometimes? The last 300 pages or so was one of the best reading experiences ever. The first 500? I felt so much anger and frustration reading it, that it really was hard to enjoy it.
