An excellent book - something long overdue in my reading list. What a beautiful, simple, sincere and yet so touching novel. I have to say - this is how you write a novel, in my eyes. A simple plot, something that can happen next door any day. Characters with complex lifes, some with a big heart, others not, slowly showing who they are as the story unfolds. I was not sure if I liked the book or not when I started reading because it is so philosophical at first. So it took awhile for it to grow on me, but once I got into it I couldn't put it down.
