One of Paulo Coelho's amazing works ever. Though I'm not sure why the book was not considered as wonderful as I found it by many but it set in a great deal of appreciation for the author in my heart. The plot may not be a very interstingly different one but the way Coelho has narrated the whole story is beyond appreciation that can be expressed in words. It expresses the patience and learnings in love in the most beautiful manner.

I believe that it was a nice read, only that I read it after reading "Aleph" (also by Coelho). Both depend on a mystic idea that was mentioned in ancient texts or in Borges's tales, and then a plot built around it. In the case of the "Zahir", the plot is simpler, but the ride you take with the author's self reviving spiritual experience is somehow bizarre.
