A story that grasp your imagination to the core, language is so gripping that I couldn't leave the story even after I had put the book down to attend work & other stuff.
This is an awesome work from a debutant writer. Great going Diane !

Characters are well evolved, plot is thorough & in the end author makes sure to tie all lose ends.
So much so I want to write about the plot but that will not do any justice so pick up the book & swim along Adeline, Emmeline, Margaret, Angelfield & of course Vida ...more

This was a wonderful gothic suspense to read. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because somehow I couldn't connect with the heroine of the novel. I liked all the characters around her but she seemed unreal to me. But no matter, the book was still great. I think I was sitting on the edge of the seat the whole book. One of those you stay up all night to find out what happens at the end. ...more
