The translation to German was a bit wonky from time to time. But I like Inspector Erlendur and his fellow investigators and look forward to reading the next book.

I've avoided reading this book for a while, due to the English publishers ignoring series order and just publishing willy nilly. But I've waited so long, and it fitted a Toppler read so well, I just went for it. I am glad I did though. Icelandic murder mystery, not as dark and gritty as other nordic noir, but quite enjoyable. Standard fare really, but enjoyable and well told.

Intriguing Icelandic mystery. Listened to audio book. It is always interesting to learn about a unique setting, the history and geography of a place you have never been. It was a little are to keep track of characters and maybe more so with audio version.
I really enjoy finding a new detective series and this was a great find . An interesting crime as well based around a novel motive. Great lead character . I will definitely read more .
