What Members Thought
I chose this book because I wanted to learn more about Venice Italy for my upcoming trip to Italy. I enjoyed this book and I did learn a great deal about the history and the people of Venice. There are a few side stories that I feel he delved into a little too deeply, such as the affair of the famous poet Ezra Pound and his mistress Olga Rudge. It was also a little tedious reading about 2 Americans Larry Lovett and Bob Guthrie, feuding leaders of the American good-will charity, Save Venice.
