I was expecting a good old medieval story about Omar Khayyam and Samarkand but instead found a paralyzed story (because the characters and events are not fully explained) written in haste (because the author only mentioned a few big names and big events from history). The author divided the book in two parts, first half is telling the fictitious old story of Omar Khayyam,his journeys, his companions,his love, and his composition of Rubaiyat.The second part is mainly about the nineteen century Pa ...more
