In another lifetime, I probably would have been a forensic anthropologist or scientist. If I had known I could study that before I went to uni. And didn't have a sense of smell. And didn't loose my temper when I think something is unfair. And maybe a bit smarter. If all these things were different, I would have become a forensic scientist.

An interesting fictional take on the civil war and 'the disappeared' of Sri Lanka. But the more I think about it, the more I realise I don't really understand what happened to some of the major characters. This could be partly due to the structure, which is a bit jumpy. That didn't bother me while I was reading it (I rather enjoyed making the connections as I progressed through the 'real-time' of the story) but in hindsight I think maybe I didn't take in some of the diversions properly, leading
