I've had this on my bookshelf for about ten years and never managed to read it; I'm not entirely sure why. I bought it because I was beguiled by the front cover, which displayed this:
"On they went, singing Eternal Memory, and whenever they stopped, the sound of their feet, the horses and the gusts of wind seemed to carry on their singing."
What a beautiful sentence!
