I really love this series, as it feels like a giant hug of familiarity and nice characters. But with murder.
This book did rub me the wrong way as there was MAJOR fat shamming in this book of a minor who was obviously the subject of abuse from page one. The teachers mocked her and made rhymes about her, as did everyone she met. She was 12. No one checked if she was okay. Everyone, EVERYONE, she met decided a 12 year old was grotesque and therefore not a human.
That was not okay and was rather jar ...more

2nd book in the Inspector Gamache series, which so many people have recommended. I didn't like it as much as the first one, but I still love all the main characters.
What a great town.

This one's situation was a little convoluted. Still, enjoyed getting to know the characters.
