After reading " A Tale of two Cities" in the seventh grade, I never picked up another Dickens book again. I thought it was a bit dry and long. ( Maybe because I cared more about boys and my hair in the seventh grade than anything else.)
"Great Expectations" was an emotional rolercoaster of a book, and I finished it in a week.
I had the edition where I got to see both his origional ending( A bit cut short I think) and the ending that was published ( which was nicer, but still disapointing.)
