What Members Thought

I like watching youtube videos about The old Hollywood cause I enjoy reading about the behind the scene dramas for example The Elizabeth Taylor and Debbie Reynolds feud or just learning about the lives of these legends like my absolute favourite Audrey Hepburn.
So I was obviously super excited to read this book and the enormous hype surrounding it, did encourage too.

This book packed a might punch and it hit me in all my soft spots.
The way it was written was exceptional but more than that was the main character Evelyn. A complicated woman. There is no direct path in this story but from what I could tell, if she could go back in time knowing later what she knew. She would have chosen Love over Opinion

It was a complex story that portrays perfectly what might have being going on in the private lives of movie stars that actually existed and maybe I was expecting something different of this book and not all the hiding and suppressed feelings of the main characters!
The one relationship I truly loved reading about is Evelyn's with Harry Cameron and the end of it broke my heart!

Someone responded with this:
This book that you just read has got you 70years of problem free interpersonal relationship, a lifetime recess from disappointments and a better you when it comes to responding to bad vibes and energy.
I couldn't agree more. It was full of life lessons, and was an eye opener on so many levels.

Okay wow! I need some time to digest all of this! It was definitely a journey.... I can see why there's so much hype surrounding this. It was very, very hooking and interesting. Evelyn felt so real and Reid's characterisation of her was very well done. She was flawed which only made her more real I think and that twist at the end was a shock.
I don't really know what to think about that. Monique's story and character wasn't as interesting to me...in fact when Evelyn started narrating, there were ...more
