Two words: Beach reading.
Not one of Francis' best, in my opinion, but not the least either. The hero in this case is a glass blower, and so Francis (and son) did their characteristic thorough research into the trade. I didn't find the passages in which the hero rhapsodizes about his artistic visions to be that convincing, but then they were less irritating than the scenes with the compulsory love interest (this time a police woman). I do wish Francis would expunge the word "cuddle" from his lexi ...more
