Kay
A tale of a misfit and his somewhat quixotic eco-crime, felling a magnificent and culturally significant golden spruce tree in British Columbia. I learned quite a bit about the Pacific Northwest and the underlying conflicts between various groups, such as loggers and native people. The author did a good job of presenting both sides of the story. However, the organization and central event of the story are a bit murky -- I sometimes wondered where the heck the book was going.
