I liked this book but not as much as Some Girls Are. It was pretty good. The main character, Parker is pretty troubled after some things that happened to her at the end of last year. Now she is on constant watch by the school and her parents, and dealing with what happened. Enter new kid, aka the nice guy. She wants to not like him but she does, etc. But don't be deceived this book is not a typical teenage love story, it is mostly about what Parker is dealing with. It is really well written, it

The protagonist is really unlikeable and the climaxes read like something out of a prolonged over-dramatic student essay (car accident, rape...). There is gratuitous swearing and sex. Ugh! Some Girls Are is sooo much better.
