When I have time, I would like to count the number of panels featuring Alison Bechdel with her head in her hands during a therapy session, panels of highlighted excerpts from Donald Winnicott's books, Alison Bechdel in present day as she's trying to write this actual book, and how often her mother appears and whether those moments move the story forward.
