Our story so far: girl was once beautiful and popular in another town; tragedy strikes, forcing girl to new town and become an outcast .... Hottie McHotterson new guy starts school and (gasp!) sits next to freak girl! She is drawn to him, because duh, but refuses to admit it.

Typical teen romance fiction with an edgy goth twist.I liked this book better than Twilight, and I hope the rest of the series continues in this vein. I think it might be because the female lead seems slightly more agentic. But the story is strikingly similar. Instead of being vampires they are "immortals" and they have really cool powers. The second book isn't out until this summer, but I am looking way more forward to it than reading the rest of the twilight series.

I liked the story in this. It isn't great literature, and I didn't think it was "twighlight like". I didn't like those at all. I think that Riley had to be my favorite character in the book. Her humor and matter of fact comments put Ever in check many times.

It is a fun light read and I will read the next ones just to see if the backgound of Ever and Damen are developed.

Great book! Never expected it to be so good, honestly.

I love the idea with the red tulips ♥♥♥

It's my new favourite series - I can't wait to read the second book! :)

Finally I finished this book. I really enjoyed it. I loved all the characters, except Drina. I look forward to read the rest of the series. Next is Bluemoon.
