I discovered this gem while glancing through previous Modern Mrs. Darcy Summer Reading Guides. This one goes all the way back to... 2012. I would never had picked it up had it not been recommended by Anne in the SR Guide. In the beginning it felt weird reading a baseball story from the legal thriller master. I actually put it down several times determined not to finish. But I decided to just give it a shot in the end. That was why it took me soo long, it was worth it eventually.

Outstanding! As a Cub fan for life, it was really a good, and touching read.
