I discovered this gem while glancing through previous Modern Mrs. Darcy Summer Reading Guides. This one goes all the way back to... 2012. I would never had picked it up had it not been recommended by Anne in the SR Guide. It’s the first “serious” Grisham I’ve read and it proves he’s a good writer, whether thriller or any other type of writing.

Ok, i bought this book because I needed a $5 purchase to get free shipping ... So when i saw that Grisham had a book I thought it would be good ... I had not realized it was a baseball story.

Joe was a great guy all around, most especially his ability to forgive. That message will stay with me.
I will use this as my book for the one day challenge in the semi-charmed kind of life summer 2012 reading challenge.
