I didn't like this at all. I felt that there was hardly any character development, and Jordan is just as superficial and immature as the cheerleaders she abhors (disproportionately resentful of her dad, realises she (view spoiler) - and even thinks of the romantic interests in her life as 'daily specials' versus the 'most expensive thing on the menu'). I also found it strange that Jordan was a female QB on the football team

This is a fabulous YA story about a girl who is the quarterback for her high school football team. She wants more than anything to play football for Alabama, but they only want her for her 'poster child for female football' possibilities instead of for her extreme talent. A romance about a girl that plays high school football, how could I pass it up. This book is filled with the confusion of being a teenager and how difficult seemingly easy decisions can be.
This book kept me engaged and tormented with the love interest and I just couldn't stop reading it. I was captured by Jordan's struggles (and yes on occasion I had to remind myself, they are teenagers, not adults). The ending had me smiling and sighing. Great story, look forward to more of this author. ...more
