Thoroughly enjoyed this book, couldn't put it down, in fact. I liked and empathized the detective Javier Falcón. Felt for this man with issues who discovers such startling and horrifying truths about his family. Very well written and engrossing, sparkling with intelligence. I didn't want it to end, so I'm glad he has written sequels. I'm on to the others in the series. ...more

A slow burn of a novel that's tough to get into and never really picks up speed despite the gruesome crimes. Wilson seems like exactly the sort of author I'd dig, but this one doesn't give me much incentive to seek out more. ...more
