A haunting story of Jewish families trying to evade the Nazi's in WWI. An amazing tale of Italians who assisted these families and risked their own lives in the process. I can't imagine what it would have been like to live in those times!

Has a big cast that can be tough to follow, but also very moving in showing the many small courages and kindnesses that can shine through the dark of war.
