This is a review of an advanced reader's edition I received last year in a Goodreads Giveaway. Karolina's Twins tells the story of holocaust survivor's Lena's quest to find two babies left behind in 1940s Poland. The story opens in present-day Chicago where Lena engages a lawyer Catherine and her investigator husband Liam to help on the case and track the babies. I liked the story of Lena, Carolina and the mystery of the twins. But I have read too many books about the Nazis and work camps, and found all that too repetitive. Still I had to read to the end to see what happened.
