This book oozed sensitivity. Just about every day in the live of eleven-year-old (soon to be twelve) Christy, his heart raced with fear, or his feet stumbled with awkwardness, or his eyes were blinded with confusion. The boy was never relaxed, unless when he was sleeping... but even then, his dreams were intense. I think Christy's blood pressure was constantly 200/100 throughout the entire book. His heart was constantly racing with emotion. It was just too much!
