It is difficult to keep the heritage of the characters straight as well as their genetic and adoptive parents, but an interesting story with more than a few twist to keep you guessing.

Initially, I considered putting this book down because it was grosser/grittier than I can take. I am so glad I didn't.

Original title: "DNA (Children's House #1)." Dark, gruesome, horrific murders with a ringside seat for the reader. Darker than I generally prefer to read. Clunky in parts. Interesting use of ham radio. Ending came down fast. Liked some of the not-so-clean edges of the landing. ...more
