I don't know how Louise Penny's book just keep getting better and better. I read one and think it is fantastic, and then read the next one to find that it is even better. This one is another one like that. Armand Gamache and Jean-Guy Beauvoir are in Three Pines when a young boy discovers a mysterious thing in the woods, and neither of them believe him when he tells them about it. This is probably my 4th Armand Gamache book - not reading them in order - but it was definitely my favorite so far. The mystery was interesting, but mostly I love the interactions between all the characters. And every twist in the story just kept my interest! Of course the setting is a character in itself. Everything worked for me in this book - and I just love Armand and now Jean-Guy. I just have to figure out which one to read next.
