What Members Thought
This book covers three generations of a Florida family, starting in 1858. It's a bit dated but quite engrossing. Although I was caught up in the trials and tribulations of the family, the real subject of the book is the transformation of Florida from wild backwater to over-development. It seems particularly poignant today, one day after an apartment building collapsed near Miami.
