I don't read series. Yet somehow I've read all twenty-three of these Stephanie Plum mysteries. How to explain that? It's the characters. I'm crazy about Grandma Mazur and Lulu and Ranger and Stephanie's parents and all the bad guys Stephanie encounters in the course of her work as a bounty hunter. Stephanie Plum, now no longer that young, is still vacillating between Morelli and Ranger. She has now even come up with a way of justifying to herself "sleeping" with both of them. But unfortunately, as fun as her various antics may be, she comes across as a lucky ditz - enhanced in this book by her response to Disney World and her Lucille Ball performance in the ice cream factory production line. I love the Stephanie Plum mysteries because they are so much fun! This one centers around an ice cream plant, and a dead body, encased in chocolate and nuts, who falls out of an ice cream truck at Stephanie's feet. Non-stop fun, and of course, lots of sexual tension with Morelli and Ranger. ...more
