The first few pages were some of my favorite as a young reader. Realistic, gritty, and lovely all at once.
Ah I really want to love this book but I have to agree with some of the more negative reviews.
I'm glad I read it has t it wasn't smooth sailing. One reviewer really nailed it for me - the writing style for me is confusing and amorphous. I also had a feeling that something was missing but at the same time or in pulses I had the feeling that I was reading a classic - that I was reading greatness if i could just let it be.
