At first I thought this was a simple drama focused on Elena, a woman suffering from Parkinson’s, who recently lost her daughter and sole caretaker. Or was this a murder mystery, as Elena was looking for clues about her daughter’s death all over Buenos Aires? But then the story took a turn, and I realized that this novel is (and probably always was) about something else entirely. I couldn't finish it in one reading because of the tough themes but it's very readable and the structure is excellent and impactful. It deserves all the recognition.
