Disappointing
I thought I would be reading a fascinating piece of historical fiction based on Pompeii, but in reality I ended up feeling like I was reading a religious tract from a Christian. Why the author felt that the story of Pompeii and the people who lived in it weren’t interesting enough and that she had to include preaching and proselytising is a mystery to me.
